Animism: Nov. 12, 2016

The ability to take on the movements of other creatures and forces of nature, to be as an animal, as the wind or a tree, encourages us to embody the “other”. One must know oneself truly, to be able to understand the “other”: This surrendering to the unique vibrations of the “other” is the work of the shaman: who heals the community This is the original “empathy”. Empathy is necessary for forming all relationships. Empathy is the foundation of our work as clinicians, parents, and lovers.

This training is vital for guiding our children, whose contemporary foundation for relationship and visual focus is inanimate (computer technology). We will explore the movements of life forces, which through rhythm are all unified.

Intention and Frequency: March 5, 2017

The choreographic etudes of Isadora Duncan, celebrating nature’s unity and rhythms, and remembering ancient rituals and archetypes, are simultaneously tribal and divine.

We will luxuriate in the music of Schubert, Chopin, and Brahms. The vibrant body of our rich emotions experiences will be tapped into as we express Isadora’s dances together. We will explore “Music as Muse”: the source of inspiration for creative expression, music, with its many keys, melodies, and patterns, evokes emotional responses, some individual and others universal.

Our Relationship themes, which integrate the mythological and the psychological include: “The Chase” (integrating one’s parts), Encounter to Engagement, Reciprocity, Remembrance, Truth and Beauty and Heroism.
