The Advanced Rainbowdance© Training in which you can earn Endorsed Practitioner status will be held in January 2020. \nRainbowdance© for preschool children (ages 3-5) continues to reinforce trust and stability through the use of repetitive and integrated movements and sound. Activities that encourage exploration of the environment are framed by familiar beginning and ending circles. Through stories and movement improvisations children explore their relationships to each other\, practice self-regulation and modulation\, and experience the natural world as home. Individual and group esteem is enhanced and dynamically woven into the Rainbowdance© experience. \nDuring this training you will learn the preschool model of Rainbowdance©\, appropriate for children ages 3-5 years old\, which includes the Flower Garden\, Shoefly\, and various adaptations. SUMMARY:The Guardians of Isadora at the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a celebration of art and movement next Thursday evening\, July 26\, 2018 at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. A special exhibit showcasing the ancient Farnese Sarcophagus has been recently created\, offering guests a unique opportunity to view the piece from all four sides. Surrounding the marble sarcophagus are elaborately sculpted figures depicting Grecian maenads and satyrs. Excitingly\, the Isadora Duncan repertoire of dances brings these figures to life through dances such as the Bacchanale\, The Three Graces\, The Tanagra\, and more! The Guardians of Isadora dance troupe will be performing two dance sets as an introduction and conclusion to the curator’s talk about this incredible artifact. I am writing to let you know that we here at the Boston Children’s Foundation have a new offering for you and your children: This year we will provide orientation classes\, scheduled during your regular class time\, on Tuesday and Wednesday September 12 and 13\, 2017.  During the scheduled hour\, your respective teacher will conduct a sample class that you\, the parents\, can participate in with your child.  We have found\, over the years\, that parents have many questions about the theories behind our program.  During this time we will discuss with you the developmental and artistic frameworks that we use to assure that your child has a joyful experience in our program\, developing competency and forming healthy relationships.  During this time we will also finalize your registrations and make sure that your child has his or her dance wear.  If your child is potentially transitioning to a new class\, this will give us all a chance to assure that the move is the right one!  Regular classes begin on October 3 and run through January 31.  Please make special note of vacation dates.  There are 15 classes scheduled in this fall/winter session\, which includes the orientation class; please do not miss this class! \nMost Sincerely\, \nDicki Johnson Macy\, Director: Boston Children’s Foundation \nClick Here To View Class Descriptions and Download Registration Form

Celebrating Nature’s unity and rhythm\, these dances\, remembering ancient rituals and archetypes\, are simultaneously tribal and divine.  The indomitable human spirit\, ever hopeful\, is present in this choreography\, and in all true healing.  \nDuncan Dance classes for children offer a non competitive environment designed to encourage healthy emotional\, creative\, and physical development. Dicki Johnson Macy BC-DMT\, M.Ed.\,LMHC\, IDMA\, has for the past 25 years\, encouraged children trained in this technique\, to remain responsive to beautiful music and to the joyful movements inspired by nature. Self esteem\, grace\, reverence\, reciprocity and artistry are inherent to the work.
