SUMMARY:The Guardians of Isadora at the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a celebration of art and movement next Thursday evening\, July 26\, 2018 at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. A special exhibit showcasing the ancient Farnese Sarcophagus has been recently created\, offering guests a unique opportunity to view the piece from all four sides. Surrounding the marble sarcophagus are elaborately sculpted figures depicting Grecian maenads and satyrs. Excitingly\, the Isadora Duncan repertoire of dances brings these figures to life through dances such as the Bacchanale\, The Three Graces\, The Tanagra\, and more! The Guardians of Isadora dance troupe will be performing two dance sets as an introduction and conclusion to the curator’s talk about this incredible artifact.
