Community, Classroom, Culture-Based Intervention (CBI) is an evidence-based method developed by BCF that has been effective in post-conflict/violent environments as a postvention as well as ongoing resilience building. The intervention gathers participants around a parachute and incorporates breath, rhythm, cultural music, story telling, games, tactile learning and object lessons. This intervention is a tailored fit to respond to children of any cultural, linguistic or socio-economic background. CBI has been proven as effective with youth dealing with typical day-to-day stresses as it is with the most acute trauma scenarios. Hundreds have been trained in New England and abroad and BCF continues to respond to new calls for trainings on an ongoing basis.
