We have had the privilege over the years to work with an array of local and international partners (e.g. Boston Public Schools, DMH, USAID, UNICEF and others). BCF works in schools, community centers, with emergency first responders, and concerned community individuals. Because of the varied needs, BCF tailors its response with the foremost methods of prevention, intervention and postvention for child trauma victims.
Postvention is a common preventative measure because it addresses the acute need in the aftermath of a violent occurrence and offers natural resilience and healing to break the pattern. In other instances, a community hasn’t suffered a specific trauma but wants to prepare itself for eventualities or simply to foster resilience. BCF has extensive experience in each category designing interventions that suit any community or organization.
